Meet Ed
Ed Karls is a retired management executive and consultant who lives in Ann Arbor. Over the course of his career, he has worked in the automotive, telecommunications, health care, and consulting sectors. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Operations and Finance for Denison Consulting, an Ann Arbor-based global firm specializing in organizational effectiveness and leadership development consulting. Prior to that, he worked for Michigan Medicine, where he was responsible for enterprise-wide survey initiatives to obtain patient and employee feedback. Throughout his career, Ed has enjoyed utilizing his skills in team building, mentorship, data analytics, statistics, and continuous improvement.
Ed has a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He and his wife, Marci, have four adult children. Ed is very active in retirement, serving the community through several volunteer roles. His hobbies include cooking, baking, traveling, backpacking, classical music (viola), history, and genealogy.
